A DARLING AFFAIR

A Darling Affair Showcase..

Yesterday we met with so many gorgeous brides to be, who we cannot wait to work with!

sharing my passion for styling is so inspiring for me and I was so lucky to express with our guests why styling makes a huge impact on your wedding day. From itty bitty details through to floral design and creating an atmosphere with personalized bespoke details to make your wedding a day a little different than the norm that your guests won't stop talking about for months years after..

Here is just a few small details of our styling concept for A Darling Affair

Our wooden canopy new to our decor hire range. We had so much interest and can't wait to see it at many real weddings in the future. It is such a statement essential and can be used in so many ways. Many brides wanting to use as their back drop for an outdoor garden wedding styled with ivory draping and a floral garland.

We just love this simple but stunning cake topped with fresh blooms in your colour palette

Our vision was to create fresh seasonal arrangements with a free concept design - we are just loving the look of effortless 'thrown together' bouquets at the moment..

Hand painted 'Mr & Mrs' signs adds a quirky more personal touch to your bridal table {available for hire in our decor range}

DEUX BELETTES | LE CHATEAU

Hidden behind tall trees on a quiet country lane stands this 16th century style french chateau situated in the northern NSW region..

A rich evolving Tapestry of pebbled pathways and stone walls where roses have been allowed to run rampant. A charming retreat that pays homage to the past, whilst gently stepping into the present.

Where lovers exchange vows..

    PAPER FLOWER DIY

    These cute paper flowers can be used anywhere... A flower wall backdrop, corsages, decorations on tables, stationary, present decorating... the list is endless.

    Materials Needed: Crepe paper, tissue paper, floristry wire {cut to 15cm}, PVA glue, scissors

    Step1: Cut out petals, smaller and slightly larger {don't be too perfect} - you will need approximately 8-10 depending on size. Make sure you cut petals with the grain vertical - crepe paper is stretchy. As you can see in the image the petals have been stretched slightly to make the petals curve

    Step2: Make a bud for the centre {yellow} cut segments in the tissue to give it texture. use a spot of glue and roll around floristry wire.

    Step3: With the smaller petals {we used tissue} add a spot of glue and add each petal individually. Slightly overlapping each petal as you go.

    Step4: Glue the larger petals around the smaller petals {we used crepe paper for the larger petals}

    These paper flowers are very quick and easy to make. If you want to make a heap! prep lots of petals before you start to make the process run smoothly. If you want to make bigger flowers.. Easy! Just do everything on a bigger scale.

    PAPER PENNANT GARLAND DIY

    We've seen a lot of really beautiful paper garlands used as party decoration and photo backdrops. So, we wanted to try and make a pennant version. We used good quality tissue paper and wrapping paper.

    They're easy to make and add a fun punch of colour to any party!

    See the full instructions below...

    1.                                                                     2.

    3.                                                                     4.
    5.                                                                     6.

    Step 1. Materials needed: Tissue Paper (good quality - the heavier and stiffer, the better), double sided tape, scissors, lead pencil, twine, ruler

    Step 2. Measure and pencil out your paper. The size we used was 12.5x30cm (remember each pennant is folded in half) so the length 30cm turns into 15cm. Cut out

    Step 3. Fold each cut piece in half length ways

    Step 4: Cut a triangle as your guide. Pencil out all pennants and cut this piece out

    Step 5. Cut your twine length. We made ours 2metres. Using a small strip of double sided tape. Stick tape of centre fold, take adhesive strip off and stick twine across the centre fold. Fold side over and line up so that each pennant is straight

    Step 6. Your garland is now ready to hang
